It combines AI-powered food scanning, a peptide and supplement protocol tracker, a workout logger, and an AI nutrition coach in a single app. The food database combines FatSecret Platform API, USDA FoodData Central, and Open Food Facts.

Largely, yes. Stored logs, recent foods, saved recipes, workouts, weight, and protocols remain available offline because your data lives on-device; database search, barcode lookups, AI scanning, and the AI coach require an internet connection.

AI food scanning provides estimates based on visual analysis. Accuracy depends on image quality, lighting, portion size, and how the food is presented. For known packaged foods, barcode scanning is far more accurate than photo scanning. Always double-check values for critical dietary needs.

BodyDex's protocol tracker is a generic dosing and history tool — you can log any peptide, medication, or supplement (e.g. BPC-157, TB-500, semaglutide, retatrutide, vitamin D, creatine). No. BodyDex is a nutrition and fitness tracking tool, not a medical device. It is not HIPAA-regulated because we are not a covered entity or business associate. All personal data (food logs, weight, recipes, workouts, protocols) is stored locally on your device. We don't maintain a centralized database of your tracking data. AI features send minimal data for processing, which is discarded after processing (narrow, disclosed exceptions — like opt-in scan-accuracy reports — are listed in the Privacy Policy).

Yes. BodyDex can read steps, active energy, body weight, and other metrics from HealthKit (with your permission), and write nutrition data back. Raw HealthKit records are not sent to BodyDex servers, and health data is never sold or used for advertising. Information derived from your records — such as your weight trend or nutrition totals — may be included in AI context, but only when you enable the relevant AI feature and consent to it.

Subscriptions are managed by the store you subscribed through. On iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → BodyDex → Cancel. On Android: Play Store app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BodyDex → Cancel. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, depending on where you subscribed. On iOS: open the App Store app, tap your profile, find the BodyDex purchase in your purchase history, and select "Report a Problem." On Android: request a refund from your Google Play order history.

Open BodyDex → Profile → scroll to the bottom → "Delete All Data." This permanently removes all your information from the device. This action is irreversible.

Go to Profile → Export Data. You can export your food logs, weight history, recipes, workouts, and more in JSON or CSV format.

Yes — BodyDex is live on Google Play, free to download. Premium is $9.99/month on both iOS and Android, and your data is stored on-device the same way on both platforms. There is no cross-device sync — each device keeps its own local data.
