What is a medication supply tracker?
A tool that answers 'how many doses do I have left, and when do I run out?' BodyDex tracks your on-hand supply per protocol, counts it down as you log doses against your schedule, and warns before the projected run-out date so refill lag doesn't become missed days.
How does BodyDex know how many doses I have left?
You enter your on-hand supply when you set up (or refill) a protocol. Every logged dose decrements the count, and your schedule projects the run-out date. Because it counts from real logged doses, skipped or delayed doses automatically push the forecast out.
Does it work for injectables and supplements too?
Yes. Supply forecasting (v1.1.0, June 2026) covers everything on the protocol model — tablet medications, injectable protocols with site rotation, peptides, and supplements. One system for the whole routine.
Why doesn't my calorie-tracking app do this?
Supply forecasting needs a dose-schedule model — a protocol with a dose, unit, cadence, and on-hand count to decrement. Calorie-tracking apps are built around food databases, not medication protocols, so this feature generally isn't part of their model. See our comparison pages for how BodyDex differs feature by feature.
Is supply tracking free?
Yes. Medication tracking, including supply and refill forecasting, is a free-tier feature — the free tier covers up to 2 active protocols per category (peptides, medications). Premium ($9.99/mo or $79.99/yr, 7-day trial) removes the cap and adds AI food scanning and the AI coach.
Does BodyDex order refills for me?
No. BodyDex is software only — it warns you ahead of running out, but the refill itself goes through your pharmacy and prescribing clinician as usual. We don't source, sell, or facilitate any medication.
Is BodyDex a medical device?
No. BodyDex is a tracking and journaling tool. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition, and it does not provide medical advice. Always work with your prescribing clinician on doses, schedules, and side effects.
Where is my supply and dose history stored?
On your device, in a local SQLite database — there is no centralized BodyDex database of your medication history. On iOS, iCloud backup (if you use it) is at the OS level and follows Apple's standard encryption posture; on Android, BodyDex opts out of OS backups entirely. Export as JSON or CSV from Profile → Export Data.
