A real medication log app can't be limited to a menu of popular drugs. BodyDex's protocol model is generic — name, dose, unit, and schedule — so it tracks any prescription or over-the-counter medication you can describe: tablets, capsules, liquids, injectables, drops.
Daily, twice daily, weekly, alternate-day, or a fully custom cadence — the schedule in the app should match what your clinician actually prescribed. When the prescription changes, you update the protocol and the log keeps the full history. A protocol can also run as a course of a set number of weeks, with dose changes your clinician has already planned for later weeks entered up front; reminders and adherence stop when the course ends. BodyDex never chooses a dose — it follows exactly the plan you entered.
BodyDex schedules local notifications on your device for each dose. They fire reliably even with the app closed — no server round-trip, no account required — and they follow the real schedule: every other day, twice a week, or as-needed, which stays quiet until you log a dose yourself.

Your medication history is sensitive. BodyDex keeps it in a local SQLite database on your phone — there is no centralized BodyDex database of your medications — and you can export everything as JSON or CSV from Profile → Export Data.
On the Home tab, swipe to the Protocols panel and tap Peptides & Meds, then tap Add Protocol.
Enter the medication's name — prescription or over-the-counter. The data model is generic, so any medication you can describe with a name, dose, unit, and schedule works.
Enter the dose and unit exactly as prescribed by your clinician — mg, mcg, IU, mL, tablets, or a custom unit. BodyDex records what you tell it; it never suggests or changes a dose.

No. BodyDex never suggests, calculates, or changes a medication dose. It records exactly what you enter. Dose changes are decisions for you and your prescribing clinician — when a prescription changes, you update the protocol yourself and the log keeps the history. If your prescription already includes dose changes planned for later weeks, you can enter that plan up front and each day shows the dose your plan calls for — still exactly what you entered, never a number BodyDex chose.

On your device, in a local SQLite database — there is no centralized BodyDex database of your medication history. On iOS, iCloud backup (if you use it) is at the OS level and follows Apple's standard encryption posture; on Android, BodyDex opts out of OS backups entirely. You can export your data as JSON or CSV from Profile → Export Data.
No. BodyDex does not run an interactions database. For drug-drug or drug-supplement interactions, consult your prescribing clinician or pharmacist. We don't replace that conversation.
